Qld: Qld child safety workers to strike over "scapegoating"

Child safety workers across Queensland will strike tomorrow over resource concerns
and what they call scapegoating in the state's far-north region.

The workers are members of the Queensland Public Sector Union.

They will strike for four hours from 1pm (AEST) after passing a vote of no confidence
in the Department of Child Safety's director-general Robin Sullivan.

QPSU spokeswoman ALISON FINLEY-BISSETT says the workers are tired of complaining about
what she calls management failures which have left Cape York and Torres Strait office
in Cairns unable to do their job.
